Kellie Haddock is a singer, a songwriter, and a Hope Giver.
She shows up on all socials in the brightest, happiest pink you’ll ever see.
And she talks to us about using hope as a choice, about how God trusts us with tragedy and what we can do with that, and why her new album is called Orchids From Fire.
When I first learned of part of Kellie’s story, I said to myself what plenty of non-military friends have said to me:
“Oh my gosh, I could have never handled that.”
But that’s not true. Because hope doesn’t discriminate. Just like cancer and tragedy and misinformation on the internet doesn’t discriminate between its victims, neither does hope.
Kellie reminds me on a regular basis that hope is a choice and that hope is gift. I can place my heart in God’s hands and let Him fuel me with hope, because His faithfulness lasts until the end of the age. Therein lies the choice — to rest in and rely on God, and the gift — He fuels me with hope so freely.
Tragedy is just one part of Kellie’s story. Out of the fires and storms of her life, she has grown beautiful, lasting orchids that put color and beauty and joy and HOPE into the world — a much-needed antidote for the heartache life offers on the daily.
Thank you, Kellie, for being our Hope Giver!
